2026 - Spring market update

Date Published 19 March 2026

It finally seems like the sun is shining over Wiltshire and as always the weather has had its part to play in the property market so far this year. After a wet start to 2026 the rain has stopped for now and at last we are able to get some great photos of the properties we have coming up for sale.

So far this year the activity in the property market seems to have been quite mixed, with some properties selling quickly and others, for no obvious reason, being slower to attract interest. We have also seen properties suddenly attracting more than one potential buyer and it is the number of buyers in the market that is most important at the moment - what we have seen so far in 2026 is that there are fewer buyers so far this year, but the people that are viewing houses are keen to find something. While pricing is alawys important sometimes it is also a case of making sure that we don't miss buyers when they start looking.

As the year goes on and the weather improves we expect to see more properties available and more buyers too. If you are thinking of selling this year we are recommending advertising as soon as you are ready to do so to make the most of the marketing period over the next three to four months. If you would like a market appraisal of your home then please call us on 01672 514820 or if you are looking for your new property then please let us know as we contact our mailing list a day or two before advertising online.

Pictured is a generously proportioned bungalow in a popular no through road in Eastbury - offering up to date accommodation including 3/4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The property features a lovely large private garden with views and still has further potential if needed. The guide price is £795,000.
